Household Hazardous Waste
Household Hazardous Waste Collection is held at the Minuteman Household Hazardous Waste Products Regional Facility, located within the Hartwell Avenue Composting Facility at 60 Hartwell Avenue in Lexington, MA.
Hazardous Waste Collection requires online pre-registration.
The registration form closes 24 hours before each collection event.

Who Can Participate
Residents from Arlington, Bedford, Belmont, Lexington, Lincoln, Waltham and Watertown are the only communities allowed and must pre-registration online.
The household hazardous waste collections at the Minuteman Facility is for member towns only. Anyone who is not from a member town will be turned away. All non member residents should check with their local Public Works or Health Department on where to bring your harardous waste.
Watertown residents may bring hazardous household products to the Minuteman Facility. Proof of residency is required at the time of collection.
Event Guidelines
Please read and abode by the following guideline as household hazardous waste collections are highly regulated.
- Have your ID and proof of residency ready when you arrive
- Remain in your vehicle at all times.
- Place all hazardous waste in the trunk of your vehicle (or the bed of a pick-up truck). Items placed in your backseat will not be accepted.
- Containers used to transport waste will not be returned.
- The Minuteman Hazardous Products Facility reserves the right to refuse unidentified materials or unacceptable amounts of hazardous waste.
- REMINDER: Water-based paints will NOT be accepted.
