The City of Watertown’s Recreation Department has multiple seasonal opportunities available. These opportunities are perfect for motivated individuals interested in making a positive impact in the Watertown community. These opportunities are ideal for college students, aspiring teachers or coaches, and active individuals interested in sharing their passion for athletics, STEM education, arts and crafts, and many other activities with people of all ages. Interested candidates must be available to work approximately 8-15 hours per week depending on their position, including after school and weekends. The Recreation Department hires for a variety of positions for five different programming sessions. Please see positions and sessions listed below. When applying, applicants must designate which position and which session they are interested in.
Fall II: November 1 - December 31
Winter I: January 3 - February 21
Spring I: March 3 - April 25
Spring II: May 4 - June 12

Pequossette Summer Job Openings for 2026 - Applications Will accepted starting in January 2026
Update: Employment Opportunities – Pequossette Summer Program 2026
Watertown Recreation is excited to introduce a new Counselor-in-Training (CIT) Program for youth ages 13 and 14. Please note that this is not a paid position. CITs will participate as volunteers and may earn community service hours that can count toward graduation requirements.
This program will include a separate application and interview process, and acceptance is not guaranteed.

For 2026, applicants must be entering the 10th grade (Fall 2026) and be at least 15 years old to be considered.
