Bike Parking

Bike parking can be found throughout Watertown. In the City’s squares and business districts, bike parking is often provided through two common types of racks. They are the Post-And-Ring and Inverted-U shown below.

When locking your bike to either rack, position the bicycle so that is rests on the rack with at least two points of contact, preventing your bicycle from falling over. In addition, use your lock to capture the bicycle’s frame. Finally, to prevent wheel theft, try to capture your wheels in addition to the frame with a u-locks and/or and a cutting-resistant cord.
